Help needed!

Walk-in submission at Toronto BLS	29-Nov-2022
Date Of Acknowledgment	16-DEC-2022
Registration Status at Mission	TORONTO
OCI Application Status	UNDER-PROCESS

The above is the current status. We have booked our flight on 22-Jan-2023.

Given the holidays in the middle, Will the card be delivered before that, or should I make alternative arrangements?

I opted for delivery through courier. Can I collect them directly from BLS, just in case of a crunch situation?

Please guide.

For my spouse DOA was 1-Dec & OCI is received at CGI today. Hopefully we will receive by 30-Dec.

Since DOA is 16-Dec for you, hopefully you will receive it by 16th or 17th Jan. Someone had earlier mentioned that they collected from BLS. I think you will have to call them & will have to collect on the day they receive. Someone who has done it earlier can confirm.

Please update how OCI process goes for you with the affidavit. Will be really helpful.

OCI application submitted today at BLS Brampton office. We only included the copy and not the original affidavit along with application..
The originals such as Canadian passports, birth certificates, citizenship certificates, surrender certificates were all checked and returned.
They only kept the Indian passports and said it will be couriered back to us in 2-3 weeks( did not agree for us to collect the passports)
OCI will come in about 3 months times. We told them we will collect this from Brampton.

Like others mentioned on this thread, BLS told us photographs are not right too dull blah blah, we told them these photographs were only clicked at BLS Brampton at the time of surrender, they did not have any points to argue after

I'd agree with what Samoinp mention in his post below about the e-Visa
You have to reach out to BLS to confirm if they would allow you to collect.

I am checking and still get the status as "No records found"

I submitted my application same day as you but at BLS Winnipeg

No. They validated all the originals (Last held Indian / Current Canadian passport / Surrender Certificate / Citizenship Certificate) and returned the originals to me. They needed only copies of the above docs which I had included.

I was asked to submit my Indian passport as well. They said I’ll get it back in around 15 days. Maybe a new way to make money. They took additional courier fee to send it back.

Don’t think so- I’m sitting here at 18 Nov submission and 8 December Date of Acknowledgment and my wife/kids are at 25 Nov with just the usual update that everything is under process. They’ve definitely slowed down.

Thx, about 2 weeks ago a friend of ours submitted their OCI application to BLS Toronto office . They were asked to submit there Indian passports which will be returned in 2-3 weeks time and for us it was the same yesterday

This is the biggest difference between BLS Toronto and Brampton - for months (and to be honest years now), Brampton doesn’t ask for Indian passports with OCI whilst Toronto continues to ask.

Same here. postal application that was acknowledged on 6th Dec by BLS. BLS tracking says under process at consulate for over a week now. OCI website still says no record found.
