Here is the draft of Affidavit for the Place of Birth

AFFIDAVIT​

We, XXXX (Father of “Minor’s Name”) and YYYY (Mother of “Minor’s Name”), residents of “Current address (as per proof of residence”, SOLEMNLY STATE ON OATH AND DECLARE that;

• I, XXXX, D.O.B., am a Canadian Citizen with Canadian passport number HBxxx.
• I, YYYY, D.O.B., am a Canadian Citizen with Canadian passport number HBxxx.
• We are submitting our son/daughter, "Minor’s Name", D.O.B., a Canadian Citizen with Canadian Passport Number HBxxx application with the Consulate General of India for Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and have the knowledge of the facts stated herein.
• Our son/daughter, "Minor’s Name", is a minor. On his/her Indian Passport No. Yxxxx, the place of birth is written as “Place of Birth as per Indian Passport”. On her Canadian Passport No. HBxxx, the place of birth is written as “Place of Birth as per Canadian Passport”.
• “Place of Birth as per Indian Passport” and “Place of Birth as per Canadian Passport” is one and the same place.

And we make this solemn Declaration consciously believing to be true and knowing that it is of the same effect as if made under oath.

Document will be counter signed/stamped and Notarized by the lawyer...

Walk-in was allowed at that time. But it's not currently allowed.

The above is the current status. We have booked our flight on 22-Jan-2023.

Given the holidays in the middle, Will the card be delivered before that, or should I make alternative arrangements?

I opted for delivery through courier. Can I collect them directly from BLS, just in case of a crunch situation?

Hi All,
Appreciate some help on this ,

We have already applied oci for our newborn on 1st week of December,likely senario is we might be receiving it at the end of january. We are leaving for india with evisa for him ealier due to personal reasons

1. Will bls be able to hold the oci card till march ?
2. My wife and kids will be staying for a year in India , can i mail my son s oci card when i return? ,and should he exit india again or can he go to frro and register for it ?

Please share your thoughts .

If you haven't submitted original Canadian passport, you could use e-visa and it should be fine.
