Hi all.
I have submitted my child's OCI application today (25th September) at BLS Toronto (in-person) and we have flight tickets booked for Nov 29th. Is there any possibility that we can get it before our date of travel?
Also, does anyone know if current address gets printed on the OCI card?

It is going to be tight but is doable... Processing would be around 6-8 weeks.

For those mailing their applications in, there are three parts of the payment - 1. Pick Up, 2. Express Drop Off, and 3. Original Drop Off. Since we're not mailing in originals and only self-attested copies - is there any way not to pay the extra $30 for Original Drop Off? Or should I just consider that as a sunk cost towards the OCI?

I think you need to call BLS for booking the courier rather than paying it via BLS website.
I have heard that people have to negotiate the price and usually they drop the price once you push the right arguments

As per my knowledge, OTTAWA HCI is talking close to 8 weeks after Date of Acknowledgement.

So, Probably starting of OCT, hopefully we will be seeing an update.

Can anyone help me in identifying if any mistake in my below thought, pls:

1. Apply for dubai visa on Indian passport in meanwhile I get oath.
2. After my oath, i apply for canadian passport and then
2. Leave to India on Indian passport.
3. I have to stay around 1 year in India, and while exit I will travel to Dubai on Indian passport and then from Dubai I will book flight on Canada passport to make an entry in Canada. From there, I will apply for surrender and then OCI.

Any thoughts ?

2. Also online BLS website says that make a single draft in the name of BLS, but i saw some post about dividing dd into two part. Can someone please clarify

For Vancouver Jurisdiction, you need to send just Photocopy of all documents. Self attested all copies. For Fees you can create a single money order or bank draft. You don’t need to send two different drafts .
