What is Date Of Acknowledgment? Is it the date when your get an email from BLS that application has been received or when you application status shows as "Processing at Consulate General" or something else?

How do you calculate Date of Acknowledgment? Is it the date you get email from BLS that application has been received or the date when your application shows status as "Processing at Consulate General" or something else?

Which office did you apply? I applied for Brampton location
I also received Acknowledgement on 1st September.
Since then the application has been in "Processing at Consulate General" status for 2.5 weeks.

I applied at Brampton location as well.
check your status on OCI website on BLS website mine also says processing at counsulate general

Hello,

I want to apply for OCI and I want to know,

1. if I apply in person at BLS , do they just check the original Canadian Citizenship certificate and Canadian passport, or do they take it and return it after 2 months with OCI?
I know if they want to stamp they have to take my Canadian Passport. But they need the original citizenship certificate as well?

2. Will they stamp anything on my Canadian Passport, a sticker, or some sort of stamp or not?

1. If you apply in-person, all the original documents are returned to you there only after verification.
2. No stamps on the Canadian passport. A separate OCI booklet is issued.

Hi, BLS website has no update. Still shows as “under process”. I had applied at northyork office.
Please keep me posted if there is any update
