Hello, I applied for my baby's OCI in person at the BLS Brampton office on December 4th, and the status has remained "processing at consulate general" since December 12th. Does anyone know how long it will take to move this status to the next stage?

Hi everyone,

I have a question about Place of birth. While filling the fresh OCI form, I mentioned my birth place which is my village name but when I generated the form, it came concatenated with State and country. e.g. <Village_Name>, <State_Name>, INDIA

This is the Personal Particulars section where everything should be according to your current (which is Canadian) passport.

I don't think re-filling the form will make it go away since it combines those automatically. Any suggestions?

FYI. My canadian passport only have my place of birth and IND. E.g. <Village Name> IND

glad to hear. but i dont understand the logic. in my case, it took 8 days to receive in toronto from dispatch date. and for you its same date.

Yeah even i was surprised to see as i didn't expect it to populate the same day/date. Hopefully lets see what happens in a week coz that is typically how long it takes to receive in hand. Finger crossed.

i know that security guard as he works at BLS brampton. He is the one who manages the OCI people inside/outside of the building.
