Hi Everyone,
Regarding my outland Spousal sponsorship application.
Submitted: August 3rd.
Request to submit updated form IMM 5476: November 13th (submitted on November 14th)
Principal applicant location: India
Sponsor status : PR
Its been more than 4 months since I submitted my application, But haven't received the AOR yet. Contacted IRCC multiple times and raised webforms but of no use.
Is there anyone who is on the same boat?
that's normal delays. not to worry. However, I am more concerned about missing AOR. You need that for faster spousal TRV processing. Do you plan of applying for spousal TRV? have you contacted ircc to find out what is happening with AOR? in the country of PA for us, TRV with normal timeline takes 328 days... so that sucks in this case.

AOR not received, medical request not received yet.
Initial application was submitted on 05 Oct but was returned on 04 Nov due to a missing document translation, so submitted on 05 Nov again. Application was submitted on PR application portal but it's not linked to a GCkey account yet. Please guide if delay in medical request letter is normal after biometric? Biometrics request was received on email 04 Dec, but letter had the date as 03 Dec 2024.
Received pre-arrival on 11 Dec.
Linked the application with gckey account and application tracker. It shows eligibility as completed. Background as in progress and medical exam as not started.

Have you updated your spouse’s passport to include “name of spouse” before applying??
we want to submit application this month and am wondering whether this is needed.
I am applying for spousal visa for my wife who is in Netherlands. We used an agent in Canada to do the application for us. We submitted the application on Nov 24 and had received the AOR on December 12th . I read that we need to link our application to GC Key account. But it says the agent will lose access to our application if we do that. Is there something that I need to follow up with the agent regarding Biometrics and Medical? Can someone help me with further steps please

not required to update/include spouse name in passport. continue with existing passport.
For proof of relationship - please see the checklist- it has all the information on what information u need to provide to establish proof of relationship.

I noticed that the application submission confirmation went to the PA's email, but I've come across information suggesting the AOR might be sent to the sponsor instead. I still haven't received the AOR, but I was able to link the application via GC Key and set up an account for the application status tracker. The tracker clearly states that the documents were received Nov 20th; however, the AOR was never sent. Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you.
