Hello guys, Mississauga office has cleared my minor above 14 daughter's LPP, I believe she does need an oath ceremony but for some reason Background Verification hasn't been cleared. Anyone in the same boat?

I have the same situation, i applied for my 2 minors kids above 14 and got AOR on 15th Dec and then Prohibition got cleared only on 24th Jan. LPP still in progress

Of course Mississauga office. Never seen this process timeline with other offices. They do LPP at once that’s it. Then ceremony. I don’t know what’s the deal with this I really don’t understand. They might be busy I get that. But how other applicants gets their ceremonies with the same office. Don’t know man. Just will wait I guess.

pretty much, my theory is L+P is completed while Prohibitions is left "in progress" even if it's cleared IF your background hasn't cleared during that assessment. If your BG is cleared when L+P is being assessed, then LPP is completed in one shot. just what I've noticed.
my understanding is:
Background = security clearance (CSIS/RCMP/CBSA) and criminality (RCMP) clearance
Prohibitions = criminality clearance (RCMP).
