Hi All,

Got the official letter for the notice to appear for virtual ceremony on May 28th.

I will be moving to a new address within Canada just in another province within 3 weeks time.

If I submit a change of address will this affect my citizenship ceremony? How do I submit a change of address?

Every time when I put all the corresponding info which is correct it keeps telling me that we are unable to identify you using the info you provided.

Do I go ahead and submit via the Web form instead?

They will confirm your address during check-in at the ceremony. Give them the correct address then and make sure you emphasize that when you send your oath form.

Webform usually takes 3-4 weeks to act and is very slow... It will be too late

We will surely do that and hope for the best that there won’t be any delays from there

Just received a letter from CIC Surrey for all pages of my passport even though I included them in my original online application.

I have a couple of Mexico stamps that needs translation :-/

Are the stamps within your last 5 years prior to the application? I am asking as I have quite a few stamps, including Mexican, however they were before the 5 years prior to applying.

One is within and one is not. However, that letter clearly states that all stamps in the passport during your eligibility (5 years) need to be translated if not in english or french

My wife and I applied to the Citizenship on the same day, but separate applications. Until LPP completion, all updates occurred for both of us on the same day. On May 13, I received the invitation for Citizenship ceremony, but there is no update update for my wife. Is this normal? Any thoughts?

I got it from CIC-Vancouver - I did get an automated email after sending the copies. I called CIC last Friday and they told they got my copies and no further actions are needed from me at this time. No updates yet on the tracker

Got an update on tracker - invitation to citizenship oath on May 15th, 2023 (Tracker updated on May 17). Ceremony is on June 6th.
No email yet.
Kid's application got the same update. Everything in there is in progress.
