It is really great to see increased level of granularity and transparency in the process. I am seeing status update only for self and spouse and not for minor children. Is that the case for others as well?

While I appreciate the transparency in the process, I guess any dates / time period thrown around is just speculation and our personal wish for a quicker turnaround. Hoping for all the speculations with quicker timelines to come true.

That is correct @OllySyd . The status shows 'in progress' for all stages of minor application.

I am not sure cause this background check is tied up with Prohibitions and Physical Absence. If they found out something they can always ask. Even if everything is good they can ask for FP cause of random QA check etc etc.

Call IRCC to get your application number. There was an issue with sending AOR emails a while back.

Called CIC today about not receiving AOR for my application. Apparently they sent my AOR to the wrong email id and my son's AOR to correct email id. Got the application number. Here is the status:

Hey guys,

Not sure if you all know! I found a way to check the status of my application using https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca You have to register after you get your AOR. My background check is completed. Language verification, prohibition, and physical presence are in progress. After these are completed, I should get an invite for the test. Just thought I should share in case anyone does not know this already.

During PR, it took them 11 months to complete the security clearance. So if its valid for 4 years, then it should be OK.

I think we should add the background check Comple or In-progress to the online excel case trackers in the SharePoint,, as it will give some indication of what month they are working on and that will present some sort of trend,,, or at least let's do that for Nov in this page -- How many Nov Applicant have got their background check completed?
