2) Has anyone from Edmonton office received a test invite? I checked with both IRCC and my MP, and was told my background checks were done and I'm just in limbo waiting my turn for test invite.
I am in Medicine Hat, but my AOR is from the processing centre in Sydney. Not sure if that means it is being processed in NS or AB, but it any case, no test invite as of yet.

Many folks have reported the same. You'd expect an officer check your documents including your passport as part of the interview in the pre-COVID era. Take it as a light variant of the interview. Provided all is well on the document check they will probably not schedule an interview and pass straight on to the Oath

Yes i do have AOR got it in Jan 2020 and inprocess since Feb 17th 2020. when i called CIC call center .. lady over phone said that Officer opened your file on feb 1st 2021. And she could not say for what reason it was opened.
For those who still didn’t get an invitation just dont be nervous or something..you will get it sooner or later..just be patient..no one will take it from you..

It depends on the office. Scarborough and Mississauga offices are taking about a month to make decision and so on. I did test on 23 January and still waiting for Decision Made/Oath invite (Scarborough office). Which office is processing your case?
