Waiting for interview or FP....any idea of expected timelines?
Is the Test and Oath happens in the same day? How will you know?
I noticed this from the October applicants in CIC Edmonton and from one of my friends.
Anyone from Edmonton applicants has the same experience?
TIA
I sent 2 web forms to CIC for my coming vacation plan one for my myself and one for my spouse (I did so because I do not want to be representative for her )
1- For myself i got response to my email saying they informed to respective office for my absence period
2- For her she got response in her email yesterday saying

My Question :
- why CIC act differently in response for same kind of request , in above example for me they informed to office for her they are asking to submit again web form if it is not answered yet (obviously that is not answered or confirmed to her yet )
Please add my details:
Applied - Nov 3rd 2017
Received - Nov 6th 2017
AOR - Dec 20th 2017
In Process - Jan 8th 2018
Family of 2 from Brampton
One of friend from Oakville applied 2 weeks after me and already got test invite for 15th Mar. CIC should have some serial mechanism of processing applications. It is one thing to have a problem and the application being delayed because of that. However, seeing that Mississauga and Brampton applications are at a grounding halt - It feels bad!
Well, having waiting for so long..hopefully it is for few more months!
I understand the pain - I wish it was a queue system so at least you could predict your status with some degree of confidence. Well, got nothing but wait...wait wait...

After that - every person is different with different backgrounds - nationality, # of countries visited, family with/without minors, documentation types.
Security checks will take ages etc etc. and would take different amount of time to get each stage passed.
I know - many people are venting. But FIFO wont always work. Also, i do not know of any other country offering citizenship with 3 yr residency (there could be - i do not know).
Having said that - waiting is the hardest thing to do. IRCC could do a better job communicating - not sure what they are doing is efficient.
