Congrats to all the Novembeeezzz for getting either the AOR or SA.
After receiving the SA, is it mandatory that everyone will receive AOR 2 or no? Like how does one know that the file has reached its destination?
I wouldn't expect an AOR2, if you get one, thats great! If not, don't worry.
If you haven't already, check out CIC's eCAS (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas). Under the column for PR, once the status goes to 'In Progress' you can rest assured your file has made it to your outland VO.

Awesome! Thanks for replying. Ookay, so now I just have to look at the PR section to see when it goes into the processing mode, and does that mean that they are actually looking at the file? or just means that they have received it? Sorry ..lol..

From what I read from other members in this thread, when your PR change from application received to in progress, this means all documents have already been scanned by cic and electronically transfered to the VO.
When you obtained a 3rd line under your PR that says they start processing on ..., this means you have pass your eligibility and they are doing accessment on your criminality and security clearance.
Honestly these next steps following the Sponsor Approval, I'm mostly unaware of the process. I thought I read something about a mysterious '3 month waiting pool' but one of the October members have their COPR already, so that can't be. Best bet is wait for a senior member who's more knowledgeable to chime in I'm also curious to know what to expect.

oohhh I am hoping that the VO soon gets the file and puts it into the "processing mode" ....like I said waiting for this is like waiting for a seasons finale..LOL..

Hi JYC, I got SA on 15 Jan and my case has been transferred to HK as well. No AOR from the VO so far however I got the line "We started processing your application on January 25, 2016."

Congrats! I was looking at another spreadsheet, looks like from aor2 to PR granted from HK VO varies from 3-9 months, but a few months ago I checked the cic website, it said the HK VO roughly requires 11 months to process, hopefully it wouldn't take that long for us.
