Hi @Miss bee I received this update today on my work permit application "Latest update: Final decision - September 13, 2024:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."
When can I expect the final decision?
does anybody have his file in Etobicoke office. I’ve heard only cases with issues are getting to this office. Is it true? Please for clarification. Thank you
I recently got my oinp nomination but i have a decent enough score for express entry but the thing is my work permit expires in september next year.
They have stopped the draws for CEC and i everyday that passes by gives me anxiety.
I don’t want to go the oinp path cause its employer restricted and i want to avoid doing a closed work permit and you never know how long your application is going to take.

Last CEC draw two weeks ago was 507. Did you just create your profile?
I'm going to give my opinion, take it with a grain of salt. You could apply for OINP so you don't miss the nomination. If you get invited through CEC within the next couple of weeks, I would withdraw the OINP application and go with CEC instead. This is assuming you're within the timeframe of getting refunded for withdrawing your OINP nomination.

I would apply not to lose the nomination, and wait until the last second (6 months) to apply for the closed work permit, in case you get ITA for express entry in between you don't need to apply for the closed work permit and apply for a BOWP if needed.

You can submit this application for now and put your profile for express entry. If you get invitation there , you can apply for that application too and go ahead and apply BOWP with that AOR . Remember CEC draws are never guaranteed, so don’t loose opportunity for PR by not applying now . Also you can apply 2 applications under different streams . If one application is approved, other application will be withdrawn automatically.
Good evening @Miss bee, I hope you are doing well, I have a question:
Today I received an email from IRCC requesting for name, height, eye colour, email, etc. With the subject as IRCC Permanent Resident Portal Confirmation.
I'm not exactly sure what the email is requesting me to do. Do I have to reply to the same email with all the information they are requesting or do I have to send it to a different email address?
Also, my representative told me that I should fill out that information on the Portal we used to create the PNP application, but it looks like my application is locked. Do I need to do this?
