Hi everyone, I applied on 2nd Sep 2023 today I got multiple emails, one asking to pay a biometric fee, the second to link my account, third to add some missing documents. I paid the biometric and submitted the receipt through the web form, my question how long it will take to get the BIL letter (biomtric instruction letter)? also using the application number can I make a bio appointment using this number or should I wait to get the letter?

AOR means acknowledgment of receiving the application correct? if yes that means yes to your question, today I received email saying we received your PR application, I applied on 2nd, Sep 2023

Received my Portal 1 mail on December 22nd after waiting for a month, and as luck will have it, I had a long planned Dec year end break and so had to be out of Canada. Replied back to IRCC saying will be back in Jan 2nd week. Guess this will delay my Portal 2/eCOPR doc also.

There is no way to book an appointment without BIL. Please wait for it. In my case, it took about a month since AOR.

Do some research... When you say the permanent residence, you should expect the English language exam result such as IELTS General or CELPIP.
You mentioned an Ontario provincial candidate, but it requires a specific level of CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark).
