I am confused too, do i need to get AOR first to be exempted from a medical exam or all the application submitted before Dec will be exempted? because none of us have gotten Aor yet under this portal

it says
in-Canada foreign nationals who
  • have submitted a new application for permanent residence or for a permanent resident visa or have a pending application for permanent residence and have not yet completed a new immigration medical exam
  • have completed an immigration medical exam within the last 5 years and were found to pose no risk to public health or safety, or complied with a requirement to report to public health authorities for monitoring, and
  • have not left Canada for more than 6 months in the last year to live in a country that has a higher incidence of a serious communicable disease than Canada, as outlined in the list of countries requiring an immigration medical exam
so I think someone who has submitted an application for pr might has been affected

So if you submit before December 28 you will be exempt from medicals? Or do you have to get AOR...confused

If that’s the case , we could save almost1-2months. Nice news finally:)

Guys,
This morning my application was returned incomplete. they said Schedule 4 must be signed by hand. My application was submitted on June 16 2021.
That is very weird as according to the IRCC website: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ces/immigrate-canada/how-to-apply-online.html
  • you don’t need to print them and sign by hand
  • upload them to your online application
  • as the principal applicant, you’ll electronically sign for the entire application, including those of your family members
But whatever, I logged to my account, status shows returned. Then I reupload the schedule 4 with signature and submit. Now will see how it goes.

It’s sad that your application is returned but you can take respite in the fact that you didn’t have to wait for long months to get decision on your file like paper applications. It also means that they start to work on online non express files.
Good luck to you.

Thanks for the information, at least we know that applications are being reviewed. Good luck!

When you said you reuploaded, was your application re-opened for you to edit? All the previous documents were there?

If you don't mind, can you post screenshots what it looks like (with personal information removed)

I already submitted the case again, So I could not view the application anymore.
All the forms and documents are still there, I just need to reupload the Schedule 4 with signature. It is quite convenient actually.
