@wlaroshi i was in the same situation as you. I applied with a non accompanying spouse that is with me in Canada stating points as my reason and got my PR in July as well. However when I submitted a spousal sponsorship application, IRCC automatically withdrew the application after Sponsor Approval, stating that my spouse was already confirmed and landed as a PR under my EE application. When you submit application to sponsor your spouse, did you also face any challenges?

Not yet. I applied for sponsorship online back in November and I havent heard from them ever since.
My eCoPR even mentions her as non-accompanying spouse, how about in yours?

Yes it says the same on my eCoPR. Its been 2 months of contacting them and raising webforms but they haven’t reopened the file. I’m really confused on what to do.

Did you apply for sponsor online? How long did they take to refuse your application after you submitted it? Certainly it's an error on their end.

Yes i applied online. It wasn’t refused, it was withdrawn. I applied in August and it got withdrawn in November after spousal approval. Yea its a mistake on their end but its been 2 months now and they are not responding to webform or reconsideration requests ‍

I see. Cant you just apply again?

I thought about that, but it will most likely get the same results since they said their record indicates that spouse is a PR. And since the same thing happened when spouse applied for visit visa because OWP was expiring.
Let me know if there’s any update on yours. I hope your spouse’s application goes smoothly and they don’t make the same silly mistake as they did mine.

I haven’t. Is that the email address that sent you portal invitation ?

No, but people, including myself, have emailed it and IRCC agents have replied after a couple of days. In my case, I wanted to know what was going on with my PR card. They replied saying there was an error on their side and helped re process it. Give it a try.

@legalfalcon please I really need your advice on this rare case.
I applied for PR via express entry and listed my spouse that lives with me in Canada as non-accompanying and provided reason as shortage of points and i got my PR in July.
Shortly after, i submitted a spousal sponsorship application and i got sponsor approval. Then few days later IRCC withdrew the application stating that my spouse is already confirmed and landed as a PR under my Express Entry application and the file has been closed.

Its been 2 months now and i have contacted IRCC multiple times for reconsideration, sent webforms but got no reply. Please I will appreciate it if you can advice me on what to do in this situation.
