Please I need help, we got passport request since May 4, 2022 but since my spouse is in Canada we sent the electronic copy of his passport as required so he can land in Canada virtually but up till now no COPR has been issued. Please who do we contact in this regard? Does anyone know? we sent Accra emails and webform countless times no respond.

You need to intensify effort to get it sorted out. I may be wrong but I believe that passport request is usually for immigrant visa issuance and not for PR issuance. PR are not issued on passports. My experience even with Express Entry is that you’re issued an immigrant visa and on landing in Canada, your PR is issued and sent to the address you provide.

The little I know, they will never request medicals after issuing PPR.

They have just done in my case… sent passport since April 28th through DHL to VFS. .., got request for re-med July 5th.

Any idea about the trend of sending PPR from Ghana after medicals? I meant estimated interval from medical passed to PPR as far as Ghana VO is concerned. Is it really true that they delay a lot?

Honestly I’m not sure how long it takes, maybe a month. I’m not sure what the next step is after medical

I recently got my medical complete. So not sure what’s next.

Once you complete and pass the medical, I believe the next step is to wait for communication from the visa office in terms of either receiving a pre-arrival letter, request for additional documents, decision made, or passport request. I just don't know what the processing times are for these with the Accra office. We've been waiting for communication with them since our medical was passed on June 7

AOR: March 10, 2022
Biometrics: (Exempted, had one already from a failed TRV application)
SA: March 31, 2022 (Moved to Accra VO same day)
Medicals Request: May 16, 2022
Medicals Completed: May 24, 2022
Medicals Passed: May 26, 2022
ADR: September 1, 2022
ADR Acknowledged: September 2, 2022
Review of ADR Started: September 2, 2022
Pre-Arrival Letter: October 14, 2022
PPR: October 14, 2022

Our case is very similar to yours .. did you ever get approved for your TRV?

Oh! Unfortunately the TRV was refused on the grounds of strong family ties to Canada with my spouse (which is silly if you ask me). Applied again earlier this year but it still is pending, but thankfully we have PPR now for the PR application.
