I have question regarding Medical. Is it good for 6 months or 1 year?? Im getting conflicting info. My friend who also is sponsoring husband from Egypt says 6 months but when I read some of the post on here people are talking like the medical is good for 1 year. Please help clarify or let me know where I can find out for sure. Next month will be 6 months for my husband's medical and I rather get it done before it expires then waste time and cause delays in our case..

i got my passport yesterday stamped with the immigration visa
they asked me to send the passport 24 last march and the visa issued 18 april
wish the best for all people
my file arrived cairo and started processing 22 feb
visa issued 18 april

the visa is valid for 12 months from the date of medical
valid untill 14 nov 2010

That is wonderful news! Congrats! ours also started being processed in cairo on feb 22 but due to request of some documents and sending them after 3 weeks, there will be delays for us. It's good to hear your news

I am sponsering my wife, she received the letter from the Cairo embassy and the status in proccess since Feb 17 2010

i know this can be vary from case to case but how long do you think will it take? i noticed there are many people within the same time the, letter says approx 6 monthes but how that can be true

is anything can be done, thisvery frastrated just wait them and be in the hiddies like that

any help will be apprciated

you cant do anything to fasten the process but you can help not to slow the process by providing all supporting documents ,
and as u said it differs from case to another

My Ecase changed to "In Process" on April 6th. As far as I have been told my husband in Egypt should of received a letter corresponding with this change in our application. One month later and still no letter from Embassy. Friends of mine going through same process their Ecase changed on April 15th to "In Process" and they received letter already. I know this letter just states that the application is in process and can take up to 6 months to complete but Im just a little concerned that we did not get a letter. His address is correct as I have sent documents to him before all the way from Canada that reached him fine. Im just concerned that perhaps future letters or requests from Embassy to my husband may not deliver correctly if we never received this 1st letter stating our case is in Process. Can anyone help. Should I contact the embassy regarding receiving this letter? Or is this normal that some dont receive the letter when the case changes to "In process" on Ecase website. Please help..

my visa already issued and i didnt recieve this letter they were contacting me email or telephone ,,,dont worry , i never called them or sent emails or asking them for anything , only i sent all supporting documents with the application ,

They have sent a letter to my husband in Canada, says that the files had been accepted has been sent a copy of it to Egypt,
I want one help me to find out what will happen after this step and how long it will take?

27th May package recieved via DHL including passport, all pictures, documents and papers we sent.
