there is not ideal answer for this question. Its working out for some and its still in process even after applying second time. I think we can just take the best call based on circumstances.

Can we apply tourist visa through new portal? If yes than how to upload documents which shows ties to home country for example letter of employment/other supporting documents? Because there is no option!

Hi Guys, I have applied visitor visa application for my parents on 16th August, 2021 and completed their biometrics on 9th September, 2021. So, far I have not heard anything from CIC. Raised web form twice to ask if I should apply again after reading 7th September guidelines. I was wondering if any of you have faced similar situation and decided to apply again using new portal ??? Did anyone got any success with new portal ?? Thank you in advance!

Hi there!

I have similar timelines as you for my mom's TRV. We applied on Aug 20, 2021, and completed biometrics on Sep 14, 2021. I had raised a webform asking IRCC to clarify the new guidelines. I heard back from New Delhi VO and they told me that I should reapply only if my situation has changed. If not, my current application will remain in the queue for processing. Our TRV application is on the GC Key site so I have no idea about the portal.

Ideally 6th would be the date.. you can check it in the letters that gets generated on the application.

Thanks. Any idea as to how long CIC is taking for applications submitted before 7th. I'm guessing the 35 day processing time shownq on their website is not correct at this point. Does this delay apply to applicants from the US as well?
