I applied for my sister's TRV in April 2021 under extended family member and selected purpose of Travel as Other and COVID-19. She completed her biometrics in July 2021 from Mumbai. There has been no update after that.
Anyone applied for extended family member's Visitor visa and have received the PPR recently? Any feedback will be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I also applied for my sister's TRV, this is the timeline:
- First application submission via GCKey, Aug 7th, 2021
- Got information letter "Request for an Authorization for Exemption from Canadian Travel Restrictions for the Purpose of Family Reunification" that is in process, Aug 27th, 2021
- No status update on first application yet (Status is submission)
- No need to biometrics, she has valid biometrics record from her first visitor visa.
- Second application submission via IRCC new portal, Sep 29th, 2021
- No status update on second application yet (Status is submission)

Will keep you posted.

I can see people getting decisions on the same day when eligibility review starts. My application's eligibility review started 5 days back but no update since then. Applied second time through GC key on 17th Sep.

Anyone else with similar timelines?

Abu-Dhabi office is very slow in responding TRVs. I Submitted my 2nd TRV application on 8th September. No Updates. Eligibility in review from next day of submission.

2. Biometrics done on 5 August 2021

After that I did not received any update . I have not submitted my application again because IRCC mentioned you only need to submit again if your status has been changed . But my status is same .

Some important Information :

Me and my wife are expecting our first child here in Canada and we submitted our parents application as exemption based . We submitted all the supporting letters including doctor letter , exemption letter and property reports with funding profs .

Her due date is 8th of Oct. We are still waiting for baby birth, God knows may be baby will come today or tomorrow or day after tomorrow .

So what you guys suggest me ? Please share you experience or any suggestion .

when I applied that time this link is only for those persons who have exemption from covid 19 and critical situations . and that's why I have not applied again .
