Hello house!!

My wife got her PPR on 11th May. As she is here with me on Visitor's Visa, we sent her Passport to Ottawa for stamping, which reached Ottawa on 12th May.

It's been 2 weeks since and haven't received anything back nor heard from them. I even tried to track the Canada Post Xpresspost return envelope but to no luck Huh

How long does it usually take to receive the stamped passport from Ottawa? Anyone here who sent their passport to Ottawa for stamping? In how much time did they received their stamped passports?

Anyone got his passport back from NDVO recently?

My wife did. Submitted on 12th, came back on 17th, collected from VFS on 23rd May.

You'll have to wait till you get AOR1. Once you get it, mention the application number on the letter and send it through case specific inquiry. See what they respond and act accordingly. As a backup, keep a new corrected form ready, in case they ask for it. Since the form is for the Sponsor it is more useful when the file is here in Canada.
If they do not respond, then send the email to NDVO once your application reaches there.

Yes. I guess you will get it pretty soon.

I got SA on May 16.
ECAS status for PA changed to "In Process" on May 20.
Finally, AOR2 email came to PA only on May 26.

And today, May 27, I saw a third line inside "In Process" link for PA. But it was actually inserted as line #2.

I think you shouldn't panic just yet as 2 weeks is Avg time for Ottawa VO to issue Landing Visa. I would suggest to wait for another week and if you don't hear by end of next week, you can inquire then. Best of luck. I don't think there is anything to worry now at this stage. Just relax and wait!!!!

I just checked my visa stamp on my passport and it says New Delhi. So, I think it should be New Delhi.

One last question, in the same form there is one more question on which I have doubt. It says:

10. Were you yourself sponsored to come to Canada?

No OR YES

If yes,

What type of sponsorship ( i.e. Spouse, parent, dependent child, other relative) was it?

So, I came to canada in Provincial Nominee Program and my sister sponsored me. It is not a pure sponsorship but I got some points because she sponsored me. Do I need to put that here? I am not sure, please help

The Answer is NO, as the provincial Nominee Program doesn't fall under Family Sponsorship category. It will now fall under Express entry. So technically you weren't sponsored even though you got some points due to your sister being in Canada.

The Answer is NO, as the provincial Nominee Program doesn't fall under Family Sponsorship category. It will now fall under Express entry. So technically you weren't sponsored even though you got some points due to your sister being in Canada.

That is not correct. Many Provinces have (or at least had) programs to sponsor relatives. Those programs for sure do not fall under Federal Family Sponsorship category but they are still sponsorship programs. The question is 'Were you yourself sponsored to come to Canada?'. It does not say whether under Federal or Provincial. So even if someone was sponsored under a PNP program, they are sponsored.
