Submitted my wife's application today. ;D
I have one question - does wife being in Canada with me help to process the application faster? She is here on closed work permit. Also I haven't submitted RPRF fee with the application, but want to submit it next month. Can I do that and notify them thru email or online correspondence as soon as I submit it?

No, your wife being in Canada will not help in faster processing. When you receive AOR2 from NDVO, they ask for RPRF. Make sure you submit the fee then. Do not delay any further. Yes, you can notify them through email or case specific inquiry.

Thanks Vikram. I asked about faster processing because I could see people getting decision made within 3 or 4 months as well (their spouse is in canada) and they applied for outland PR thru NDVO. Anyway, I won't keep my hopes too high. If it comes sooner, it's a lottery ..Yes, I'm planning to Submit RPRF as soon as I get AOR1, so I will atleast have application number as reference of application.

You're going to have to spend a lot of time pressing buttons to an answering machines before you can talk to someone- and if they are full they won't even let you wait on the phone the machine tells you to hang up and try again.
