guys i had an email for the cairo session on 23 july
in the email they mentiond i have to sign the EOI

where can i sign it and what should i write in the section of Participated in a NBPNP Event ???

Hi guys I have applied for an EOI around 21/03/2016 with the NOC 1241 and up till now I have not received ITA, I attended the NB Event show around first week in March and I scored 68 points on the EOI form. Is anybody on the same boat with me? Please can you provide any advice?

Do you speak French? Because recently they have changed the requirements for NOC 1241 and now they need bilingual admin assistants, that's why I think we haven't received our itas...

This is the information based on their website:

The NBPNP is only accepting expression of interest (EOI) forms from individuals who demonstrate that they have:

1. a connection to New Brunswick as described below

OR

2. attended a NBPNP information session in person in the past two years (no more than two years prior to the submission of an EOI)


3. Open Category

"3. Open Category
(Only the following NOC codes are eligible under Open Category: 2171; 2172; 2174; 2175; 2281).
Potential EOIs may receive an invitation to apply from the Province based on identified demand in the IT sector."

So if you have attended or will be attending an info session(NB Event), you may put the date and location of the same. If your occupation falls under open category, please refer to no. 3 above

I need to clarify how to answer the question the following question on the EE eligibility that says: 'In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation'

At the moment, I have a year and 6months work experience in my intended NOC. So will I select the option of 1year or 2-3years since my work experience is over a year?

My NOC 0412 Business Analyst, IELTS: Listening: 8; Reading: 7.5; Writing: 7.0; Speaking: 7.5 / Overall Band Score 7.5, MY CRS-411, and for NB my point is 73.
But i don't get 'you are welcome to attend" mail from Promotions. It seems they are not going to allow me to attend the session...

Jamen: I think the latest information regarding the five "blocked" professions was put in place to address a lot of these requests. Unless you are from India, I would send another request today, it may help.

As far as New Brunswick is concerned, this is what they have written...

Attention: The NBPNP Express Entry Labour Market Stream will not accept registrations from individuals who work in one of the following regulated professions in New Brunswick (requires a license to practice unless they have a valid job offer in New Brunswick and/or a license to practice in New Brunswick:

• Physicians

• Dentists

• Podiatrists

• Pharmacists

• Veterinarians

However in their FAQs section, they require a licence from everyone listed in the Certified Occupations List, which include Engineers.

I wrote the following and got the following response:

"Are Engineers, e.g. Electronics Engineers (2133) on the list of occupations which require a job offer or licence before they are eligible to apply under the Nominee programme? There is conflicting information as to which occupations need to meet this criteria: whilst the Living in NB (http://livinginnb.ca) website notes only medical professionals, your FAQ page links to a page listing "Certified Occupations" (http://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/post-secondary_education_training_and_labour/Jobs/content/LabourMobility/CertifiedOccupations.html) which includes everything from Engineers to Real Estate Agents."

Response from immigration@gnb.ca:

Engineers need to be certified to work in New Brunswick. To get more information, please visit the following link: http://www.apegnb.com/en/home/register/apply/internationalapplicants.aspx

The thing is, someone here has an application pending on 2133 (electronics engineering) and they don't have a licence. Perhaps this is a new requirement, or could they reject an application for lack of licence?

You do not have a two years so you cannot put 2. You have to go with 1! Do not put anything on the paper that you cannot prove to immigration. If you put something you cannot prove, you cannot just say I am sorry I was wrong, they will band you of entering to Canada for 5 years.

My question is that when I submit my application the exchange rate on 25th August 2015

1 CAD$= 49.70 (derived from Bank of Canada) will be taken into consideration or is that the present exchange rate

Naturally the values and rates used in your account statement certification will be different but that's acceptable and NB will figure things out themselves. Unless the currency drops significantly (like the value is cut to half), you should not worry about anything.

@seyenko, that requirement only applies if you have finished a post secondary education in Canada. For all other education attainment, the ECA should suffice.

Thanks Loki!! In my case its a fixed term deposit started last year, so I am planning to use the exchange rate which was on that day i.e., 25thAugust 2015.

@linksaran yeah that's what I did..I used the rate at the date I completed the form. Currency rate variances are an accepted value in declaring monetary amounts. Unless the chosen currency goes haywire and becomes volatile (which is highly unlikely to happen), you should be fine.
