My wife came as a visitor and got a work permit

Hi everyone,

I am PR my wife came to Canada with a visitor visa, we applied for a work permit inland and got an open work permit for two years.

My question is, does the work permit untitle her to stay in the country for those two years?

I am asking because I know that someone with a visitor visa has to leave the country each 6 months.

yes, she can stay for the entire duration set out on the work permit until she gets an extension if needed. she doesn't have to leave Canada for every 6 months.
