employer to help? you mean legally not the hanky panky way of course?
imo no one helps no one these days unless ther eis somethign in return. except the rarest few.
No no, totally legal, I just assume that there are employers who are more lilkely to go with you through this process. It is mainly a headache for them then for me, because so many documents are required from them and all those interviews and so on. This is why I said that I want an employer who would like to cooperate
The border is open 24/7 . However, it could be busier in the weekend, since Canadians tend to go shopping in Seattle, where it's way cheaper . Good luck! I believe if you're on foot it could be faster.
Empirical Scientist, when you received your PPR from the Detroit VO, how many days did they give you for you to submit your passport? Some say 60, others 30. How many days did it take before you received your passport back?

@Empirical: thanks! I guess because Buffalo's closing, they gave you only 30 days...
@Edmontonbound: Oh I wish I've been told by the CIC Call Center agent that CPP-Ottawa would ask for passports 2-3 months after the meds are received... so I hope by mid next month I have it..

Thanks for the reply. I wish you luck.
But I wondering why many people haven't got PPR from Buffalo despite the fact that their medical results have been received in Feb.

Thank you for this great post.
I just received my imm visa and will go soon to the borders to land.
Do you know what am i supposed to declare as goods that i have and goods to follow? I have been in Canada for the last 3 years (student then worker) do i declare the things that i already have?
Also, i have a US visa, can i go spend the day in the US and land on my way back or should i must do the flag-pole thing?
Thanks!
