Hi,

I am sure I have read number of times people completing their landing at Peace Arch / Douglas crossing. But as per links below the immigration services are NOT listed for Peace Arch / Douglas crossing. Am i missing something here? I am presently in US want to complete my landing in coming months. Since Peace Arch is nearest road border for me, i was planning to complete my landing there. But was surprised by absence of immigration service on that crossing.

Service available at DOUGLAS

Crossing were Immigration services are available. No mention of any BC border.

Please advice.

Thanks

Hey

Did you have any luck at the Peace Arch border?

Im also worried they don't offer immigration services

I did my landing at Peace Arch in Jan 16 and had no troubles during landing. They do not offer any immigration services but do provide landing services. All the best for landing.

So they wont take applications for work permits etc? Or you didnt require that service?

I'm not aware of it since I already had the work permit when I did my landing at the Vancouver International Airport 3 years back.

So much conflicting information.

I called CIC and they said all borders should be able to accept applications, but other information suggests that the closest border to Vancouver that has immigration services is the one in Alberta!!

I also called Border Services and they said that all "should" accept applications as long as you have the right documentation...

After you do the landing, you do not require work permit.

@FRBNG - Not sure whether you are coming do to landing or get work permit.
