They'll email you an AOR ... Actually, it doesn't really say Acknowledgment Of Receipt, but it's a confirmation that they received your PR application... It will also indicate your UCI # (unique client identification) and Application # that you may use to access your ECAS (electronic client application status).
However ... If there are missing documents or signature in any of the submitted forms, the CIO may instead return your PR application package with an instruction/note regarding what are/is missing or incomplete...

I think for most of the people the window is the same. They'll email you 2-3 months after they receive your documents.
They'll also tell you in the email if your documents are complete, and if you have paid the fee by credit card etc and attached that with your documents (which I did), they provide you the receipt of that payment in the same email.
I think it's safe to say that you won't know anything about your forms for a month or two from here. That's just how they do it.

Yes, they will not email the day they received your PR application package. You'll have to track that thru your courier's links. Tracking shall declare "when your package reached CIO" and "who received it".

There is no word of my medical. I guess my physician haven't cofirmed the result as my wife did not finished the X-ray test because of her pregnancy. Well then, we will see it later then.
How many months pregnant is your wife? Which country did you take your medical check up? My wife is pregnant too but we are hoping we can proceed with xray with the use of some protection for the baby. Of not then it might delay our application. We are in italy btw.

No , i was not present at the time when they came.they just asked about my working here, my father name and my residence address nothing else.
my timeline is:
CIC app.received : 19th oct 2015
AOR received : 11th jan 2016
FILE transfer : 28th jan 2016
Medical request : 8th apr 2016
Medical received : 18th apr 2016
rprf paid : 12th apr 2016 but till date DD was not encashed
