Hi There,
I have applied under CEC Category in the first week of July 2010. Now my contract got over and I have to head back to my home country. Can somebody address the following questions.
I am going back to my home country in the first week of October.
As per the guide, I have to inform CIC about my residense address and mailing address back to my home country?
1. What will be the impact on my application?
2. I have applied under 2171 Category, Is it still valid under CEC Category?
I really appreciate if you guys can clarify the above points.
You have to let them know of the change of address.
Since CEC allows people who have left Canada to apply, there should be no impact on your application.
CEC allows skilled work experience, 2171 is skill level A so it's skilled. I don't see a problem there.
You need to stay legal in Canada. If your work permit has expired, you have 90 days to apply for a restoration of status. Ask to change your status to visitor based on that you want to wait for your PR.
Could you help me here? my work permit is expiring on DEC 31st 2011. I am leaving to India on 29th DEC.
I am changing my address to one of my friends address.
My time lines are sent application to buffalo on June 21 2011 received aor and me from ottawa on OCT 3 and did medicals on nov 2 which sent on Nov 9th to ottawa. my current ecas says that
We received your application for permanent residence on June 21, 2011.
We started processing your application on September 26, 2011.
Medical results have been received.
do i need update cic that i am leaving to India? i am expecting a positive feedback on my application in couple of months.
I was going through the cic web site (cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp)
Change my address
It is your responsibility to ensure that the information in your application is up to date. If you do not have an application in process, an address change is not required.
If you are already in Canada
If you have submitted an application, you can notify CIC by using the Change of Address online service.
If you have recently immigrated to Canada, you must notify CIC of your new address in order to receive a permanent resident (PR) card. You can use the Address Notification online service.
If you are currently outside Canada
If you are outside Canada, you will need to contact the international visa office where you submitted your application.
Please comment. I am thinking that if i change my address to India the processing time will increase.
