Hi all,
a friend is landing soon, he has cash more than 10k on him
so he just need to fill the form and he done?
is there any impaction on his money ? taxes ? checks?

or just a small simple declaration form and he is done?

That's right. He just needs to declare cash over $10K. No tax on the money.

The only implication is if he failed to declare it. Then he can expect problems and fines.

ya i got that .. just checking if he needs to get a bank statement with him , show that he sold assets ! and questions about the money that takes him long time to answer a miss the connection flight !

If he is landing and becoming a PR, he should make sure he has at least 3 hours between flights (4-5 is much better). The landing process can take time and sometimes there's a wait depending on how many people are landing at the same time.
