my parents just recently had their medical exams done. I was wondering if having a history of cancer is a cause for medical inadmissibility? My mother was diagnosed of such 10 years ago, but is now cancer free for 9 years. what do you think?
Also, how long after medical exams do we expect to hear from the embassy again? My father has submitted their passports just after their medicals were done as was written in the guideline. is this something new? normally, the embassy would call/email the applicant that they need the passport to provide the visa, right? pls help. My mother is super apprehensive about what the result will be. thanks!

if your mother is now cancer free then you don't need to worry about it. application now i think for sponsored parents is atleast 5yrs from the time you file it.
