Hi Guys, can anyone who has taken the test or about to take it recommend reliable sources to study for the test? Also is it possible to pass with just doing practice questions without reading study guide? Thanks
Read the book once and try Canada Citizenship 2023 app. The app has material from Discover Canada and good practice tests. I like the UI and it was helpful in retention. ( I practiced on app for a week and my partner for a couple of days and we both got 20/ 20 lol)
UPDATE ! I randomly checked my tracker today (I had a hunch). I only checked maybe once every 2 weeks or so and got a major update !!
LPP : September 1, 2023

Test Date: July 8, 2023

Gave my oath on the 12th, received e-certificate on the 14th.
During the ceremony I was surprised how many people don't know how mute themselves (at least while going to the bathroom) or just how not to chew your nails in front of the webcam.

I used the same email address from which I had received the test invite. I just said that I have completed the test before August 20 but there is no update on my tracker yet, and asked them to check my file. That was it.

They did not reply. I only got an automated response that said the following:
This mailbox should ONLY be used to provide requested documentation or to provide a reasonable explanation for not being able to attend an online test, interview or ceremony (with documentary evidence). Please ensure your email includes your full name, file number and UCI.
Any requests received other than those outlined above will be automatically deleted and not processed.
However my tracker got updated 2 days after I sent that email and also submitted a web form with the same question asking about the status.
My test took 1 month (Aug 13-Sep 11) to update to complete.
My wife is still pending and she took the test on Aug 18.
PO: Vancouver
In any case be ready to receive an invite for a re test as this is the most common outcome if test status doesn’t show completed in up to 2 weeks.
In my case I think the office was on vacation orny application is with a senior officer since it is a non routine (name change) which takes longer all the steps
Scarborough office has to be the slowest out there. Apparently their average time for LPP to complete after the background check completion is 3 months. Meanwhile every other office is 1 month or less.
