Hi,

I was going through some of the previous messages just to get some idea of the sequence of steps in this process. So if I understood correctly, the timing of the test invite is not linked to a 'completed' background check?

For me, it was not linked. I am unsure if they "forgot" to send me the FP request in July when my spouse's BG check was completed. Anyway, I received both the test invite and FP request same time.

Does anyone know if there is a requirement on where we should place the camera during the test? I used a external camera. When I took photo of my face, I lifted it so my face is in the center of the green circle. When I wrote the test, I placed it on the desk. The angles of my face is different, is this going to be a problem?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as picture is clear IMO.

My timeline is as follows:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 31, 2022.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 25, 2022.
3. We started processing your application on May 18, 2022.
4. We sent you a notice on July 5, 2022 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 11, 2022 at 12:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
