Good morning all,

How quickly should we expect medical requests to come through? My application was received 5/5 and acknowledged 16/6. Biometrics were requested and completed immediately but since then ive heard nothing regarding a medical. I just wondered where people were at with medicals? We are an outland application, my wife is Canadian and we are living in the UK together.

We got my invitation for a medical 2 weeks ago. In the meantime they asked for an additional document, so we figured that's what's caused the delay. Judging by the timeline, you should get yours any time now.

Same thing happened with me too no SA approval email yet though shows decision made.

If Sponsors' status in ECAS is already "Decision Made", and the PA's status is already "In process", then that's good enough sign already that the Sponsorship approval is met. They would not start to process the PA's application without an SA. With or without the email confirmation, if PA's application is already in process, then that's good enough to know that the application is proceeding.

If you have not received an email, that should be fine, so long as you received all the next steps, which are BIO/Medical requests. SA would at most let you know the sponsors UCI, and which visa office they transferred the file.

But I haven't get the XEP yet.
So I have some questions

-When you guys get XEP, did you get the confirmation e-mail to CIC?

-I moved to the other province, I want to change my mail address. How can I do?

-And if my application was returned, how can I know? I moved to the other place...

1) you can call CIC and let them know that you moved to other place. they will verify your identity and update your profile accordingly.
2) CIC returns the application via email nowadays due to covid.

It has to be the original signed form. If you're not together in the same country, same as what I did, I let my wife signed the completed forms first, then have the forms sent to me by mail, here in Canada, signed them myself, then sent the whole application package to CPC Sydney.

anyone from May 6 AOR proceeded beyond MR? Last notification i have on my family's file is that medicals passed on June 22. File in in NDVO, am wondering if NDVO is working at all?

After passing BIO and Medical, you are still under background checks, which would take weeks, if not months to complete. Just remember the processing time is 12 months, so just be patient and wait for updates as it happens. You'll probably see "ghost" updates as your application is worked on. You'll see that on your GCKEY account, with status of "Profile/Application Updated", although you won't notice any changes in the individual statuses, but this is the best sign for you to know that your application is being worked on.

Does anyone know if it's normal, as others have experienced, to get no SA email, but ecas sponsor's side shows DM since July 29th; I received BIL on July 28th; ecas PA changed from In process to Application received on July 30th and nothing since?

Status of SA is updated to decision made but we were also waiting for mail. And finally we got SA mail after a week almost.

Quick updates from CIC these past 2 weeks. From AOR1 on July 20 to file has been moved to NewDelhi VO today. Hope everybody's file moves quickly. finger crossed.

Yes, I received email with letter attached for SA and file moved to New Delhi.

You will have Line 1 in ECAS that says they received your application, then eventually you will have Line 2 in ECAS, that says they already started processing your application, this usually happens after BIO and Medical is passed/submitted.

So in your case they haven't made digital copy of your file or your email is missing. this is what they mentioned on website:

"Due to mailing delays caused by COVID-19, we’ll now return incomplete applications by email if we’ve made a digital copy. Otherwise, we’ll mail it back to you. "
