Marriage with an international student

I've never heard of the 150 days period. Is that from the old stud permit or her new NB study permit. If she doesn't attend school from the NB college/university, then that new study permit is not valid.

I found this about leaving or chaning to visitor within 150 days but I am not sure if that applies to her. Since she already has a new study permit of a different institution and doesn't plan to start studying there.

Right, the new study permit from NB it was a new application (it's like she just come to Canada). I think she can change to ant Designated institutions near me.
Here's what an immigration lawyer told me:
"

One way we can meet both requirements (live together and maintain her legal status) is that she changes school to another Designated Learning Institute near you. Her study permit allows authorized leave for a maximum of 150 days if she decides to change schools and therefore, you can both live together and she can maintain her legal status in Canada. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../prepare-arrival/study-permit-conditions.html"
