She wasn’t entitled to work as soon as she left her program with no plans of returning which is usually in April/May. What is her current status? Did she switch to visitor status after she stopped studying?
As far as I know, she was still in contact with the university because she didn't fully validated the session...Her new study permit valid from July 2021 until the end of the program once she received it she stopped working.

Her study permit becomes invalid once she stopped going to school..... April can't be her scheduled break. Since she only just started studying.

You can end up with a scheduled break in the summer if you start University in the winter session.

Not sure what you mean by not validated her session. Did she complete the semester and do her exams in April/May

yes, she started in the winter 2020.

The other option I am thinking of is to do a transfer to a School in Ottawa within the 150 days period. My question, can she apply for a part time program? her current study permit is full time.

Did she finish her semester and complete all her exams? Was summer a scheduled break. Some programs offer studies throughout the year.

yes she did complete the session and I think she failed 1 or 2 courses because the program she enrolled in wasn't the right one for her.

yes, she did complete the session, I believe she had the right to work otherwise she wouldn't do it and she stopped when she got her new study permit.

Regards,

the other option for inland application to do a transfer to a School in Ottawa within the 150 days period. My question, can she apply for a part time program in Ottawa Designated school? her current study permit (NB) is full time.

Regards,

The girl came to study but instead dropped out of the first university and after getting a new study permit wanna drop out again. She’s also gonna get married to a person she knew less than 6 months before the wedding. All I see is red flags. I’m not trying to be a buzzkiller, but some people get denied after years of marriage. I think you need to build a stronger case before applying.

Regards,

She should have stoped working in April when her semester ended because she knew she was not returning to the program and had not received LOA and study permit from the other course. Study permit is intended for full-time work or else you can’t work or get PGWP. In this case getting PGWP is not the goal but you never know what will happen with the marriage. It doesn’t sound like you have spent a lot of time dating in person. Probably too late to transfer to another school in Ottawa for September. You both have to make a decision about what you want to do and she wants to study

In some cultures where casual dating is not really done you essentially meet someone or your family arranges for you to meet someone and if both agree they get engaged and marriage soon after. There are red flags given that she hasn’t gone very far in completing her studies in Canada and then got married which may mean there will an interview required.

I don't have the details about the university program but she told me her professor gave her a chance to re do the exam in August..her program was post graduate (1 year) and she had two option extended it somehow to masters degree and the other option apply for the NB college. we get to know each other from internet then meeting in person (so it's not arranged by our families). Sorry I meant applying for the winter session to a Designated school in Ottawa during the 150 days in which I think her study permit remain valid.

I've never heard of the 150 days period. Is that from the old stud permit or her new NB study permit. If she doesn't attend school from the NB college/university, then that new study permit is not valid.

@Naturgrl any insight?

Not familar with the termology. But did she start studying remotely? Or does Jan 2021 == winter 2020?
