MARRIAGE LEGALITY IN CANADA 7 (PLS HELP)

Hi, I hope you could help me guys on my problem. Can I get marry to Canada even if Im legally married to the Philippines? I have new partner now here in Canada were both Filipino, He just landed as new immigrant, and Im a permanent resident here already for 8 years. Were living together now for about 2 months. He wants to marry me but I dont know if this is legal? Please help to enlighten me Im really confused.
My new boyfriend wants us to be legal couple here.
My legal spouse is also here in Canada but we talk to formally seperate and be a good parents to our Son. He is also in new relationship now.

No. You either have to divorce in Canada and then marry, or remain common-law partners. You are not currently eligible to marry.

Thank you for quick response! Is it acceptable to file a divorce here even if my strange husband now and I take the marriage outside Canada.
Though we file our taxes in Canada and our status there is married. Sorry for another clarification.

As long as you meet the eligibility criteria for divorce in Canada, (length of residency, separation period, etc), yes.
