I'm from Regina, I just want to share my timeline

Received Application: April 25, 2014
Started Processing: June 25, 2014
Exam date: May 12,2015

I'm trying to read my discover and doing online practice test. I'm nervous about the exam.
What happens just in case I fail the exam?

If you fail, which I hope you don't you can write again in 2 -3 months.. Try to finish all 140 questions here in the website. I heard its really good. http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/

Yes they go by month. I applied on Apr 25, 2014 and I have my test next week.

Folks, here is my timeline:


We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 15, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 15, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on July 17, 2014.

We sent you a notice on April 22, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.



After the test, interviewer let me know that I passed with a score of 18/20.

Waiting for the oath notice now.

Im an Regina applicant. Had my test in Saskatoon on March 19 and still waiting for my oath letter now.

people who had the tests so far in May 2015... including the ones today... did the officer mention about oaths?
I think there is going to be a big one on July 1, 2015 in Saskatoon and many people usually become Citizen on that day? is that what the officer mentioned?

The guy who gave instructions for the test told there will be oath in 2-3 months. But the officer who interviewed me told me they will have oath throughout summer. So they will review our file in a week and decide whether we are selected.

I received my invitation letter to write the exam today. The letter is dated June 1, 2015. ECAS has not update yet.

My timeline is as follow:

- Application Received: July 25, 2014

- Acknowledgement Letter: October 20, 2014

- Started Processing Application: October 21, 2014

- Received Invitation Letter to Take the Exam: June 3, 2015 (letter dated June 1, 2015)

- Exam Date: June 22, 2015

I am relief. It seems like Saskatoon processing time is getting faster and faster, although not as fast as the eastern provinces.
