May I ask how long did it take for you to receive the FP letter? Thank you. My tracker updated for FP request on June 25 and it showed up on June 27, but I have not received the email yet.

I received the email the day before the tracker updated. However, I think some people are delayed in receiving the FP email from what I've read.

May I ask how long did it take for you to receive the fingerprint email? My tracker shows request for fingerprint, but there is no email yet. Thank you.

It took almost 5 weeks to reflect on tracker.

Took the test on June 7th at 6AM eastern. Got 20/20. Test changed to completed in portal on June 11th but the tracker shows that it was completed on June 7th itself.

LPP shows completed on June 25 in tracker. Oath changed to in progress on June 26. Scheduled for oath on July 16. Haven't received email yet.

That might be a stupid question but, as a permanent resident in Canada, is it mandatory to eventually apply for citizenship or can one stay a PR forever?

you can stay a PR forever, I know people who have been PRs for like 20 yrs.

I was coming here to ask the same question, even some are fully completed with the process and getting their oath ceremony. I was thinking of calling, but I don't know if its too early yet to do anything

Just to let you know, my profile was updated yesterday to "Take the citizenship test". None of the other steps progressed though, and no emails were received yet. Hopefully you got or you will get some movement v soon

You will get the oath invite soon. Happens in many cases.
