I saw my citizenship portal today, the date has been updated from April 17 2023 to today's date and it says the application is updated but there's no change in any of the sections. All shows are in progress. Any insights? Also, no email

Tracker account is not needed and it doesn't affect your application.

That said, it is to your benefit to create one. The test and oath notifications generally appear on the tracker before your receive the official email. It's helpful in situations where you miss the email and it also acts as a heads-up for any upcoming action on your part.

Tracker was updated on Tuesday May 23rd.

I took my test on Friday too. Tracker is still not updated

It can take up to a week, i've seen a few which have taken up to 10 days. That does not mean that no work is being done, it's just the way IRCC works.

How many days did it take for you to receive fingerprint request email from the date it was shown in the tracker if you have checked that? My tracker started to show on May 20 that fingerprint has been requested and the date was appearing as May 18, but I’m yet to receive any email about it.

My email for fingerprints arrived before the update on the tracker, with the same days as you and at least one other person, so I suspect they were all released together - I don't like to ask the obvious question, but did the email perhaps land in your junk/spam folders by any chance? If not, I'd be inclined to take a deep breath and give IRCC a call about it.

I applied March 22. I filed taxes for 2022 shortly after. I’ve cleared BG may 16. Doesn’t feel like it delayed my process.

My understanding is that they want at least three years of taxes filed. I had 4 at the time of filing. 5 now.

I think it should be fine so long as it was for 2022. I don't think you could apply if you hadn't filed taxes for 2019, 20, 21.
