So, I received a request for fingerprints.

Which as per the forum experts is the efficient way to get it done?

- Local Police
- RCMP
- Third Party Agency

Sweet!! Congratulations the hard part is done, now you sit back and wait 4-6 months for the Oath unless your office is fast (unlike mine) and still waiting since test was done in Feb.

Also, you should be fine, if it detects you left the screen you would get a warning, so you did not leave the screen.

I did online. Live in BC. Not sure which is "my office" but I saw Sydney, NS in one of the responses.

I have not received it yet. I am leaving the country for vacation on May 19 and this is the first day of the test window. I have to take the test early morning on Friday. Thank you for your response, I am sailing in the same boat. The online tracker says I need to take my online citizenship test between May 19, 2023, and June 8, 2023. But still haven't received the test invite yet. If in case I don't, I'll use the same link you shared. Thanks again.

Check your spam folder. My invite was in spam.

Hi everyone,

What's the timeline looking like these days for citizenship application. Is it still 2 years as noted on the website?

I applied on 08Mar'23 and just gave my citizenship test on 14May'23. My BG was also marked complete on 20Apr'23.
So I'm guessing I could get the invite for oath within the next 6 months. So overall < 1 year?

I applied online. Paper applicatons timeline might be different.

It also seems like new online applications are processed quicker than the ones in the backlog. That's probably why the overall timeline is reflecting 2 years.
