Was your eligibility passed before ? If not, then there is good chance it is eligibilty. Just call them to check what was completed.

Forgot to mention it could be info sharing as well. Anyways something has been completed. To know more you have to call. What is your AOR.

Hey guys, it looks like I just received a GU (no email was received, it just said "profile updated" when I log into my account). When I clicked into my application, my background check status changed from "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."
Any idea what this could mean?

Nope. I would be surprised tho because last time I called they haven't even started reviewing my eligibility yet lol. Thank you for the insights! I am just calling them now but they kept on hanging up on me UGH

No it did not. Nothing has been changed in my profile. Not even a ghost update.

I hope you get yours soon. My AOR was March 4, but I did my biometrics on April 12, no progress since then

I decided to wait for a month now May 19, 2021. I tried to call IRCC as I read some info here but I can't able to talk with the agent from them. I just got an info from an automatic voice over with just the same status from April 20. I have my consultant and she is the one handling my account online.

Any thoughts?

We have same pretty much everything (minus BIL as I already did that a year ago). If your BG status is “your application is in progress…”, how do you know that your security is in progress? Did IRCC tell you that or gsmc notes?
