I am march 20, just by saying that you made me so happy pinder...I wish they can reach 20 this week, but looking at the speed I think it will be next week sometime.
We both are almost close and same VO.

Would someone will explain me how can you check your status if you haven't received any letter about step 1 ?

As far as I understood, you can use the same UCI number on any application you've had with CIC (PR, citizenship, etc).
For example, the PR card has the UCI number on it. This will be the sponsor's UCI (client ID) number for eCAS.

Based on this, I should be able to login to eCAS and see something, even if it is not about this sponsorship? I just tells me it cannot locate me. I hope it works for you.

In CIC website, I check the application status and it reads:
Sponsorship Application Status: Application Received
Permanent Residence Application Status: Application Received

I also called them yesterday and their automated phone system said application received on March 12.

It used to show nothing on their website. Should I be excited already or should I just keep it down for now?

I checked CIC today, the status showed as Decision Made.

It goes on to say : We sent you a letter on June 4, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I haven`t got any letter yet.

Hopefully, it means my sponsorship application is approved. My application was received on 8`th March 2012.

Would you be kind enough to tell me how did you chek online when you havent received anything?????????????????

So basically i became a citizen not too long ago and I do have a client ID ...And when i use that 7 digit number it tell me that your file should contain hypen and all that????

Hey pinder123. try this link https : // services3 . cic . gc . ca / ecas / (remove spaces before accessing the website, as it does not let me insert a link). See the authentication options there. I use client ID personally (8 digit number without the hyphen in the middle).
If you call them you need to have the client ID. I'm not sure if you have other options when calling.

Just called Call Center - finally got a hold of them

My application was received at CPC-M on March 1st, 2012, there answer isl - working on application Feb 22, 2012, CPC is very busy , thats why it takes very long :
