Its regarding Expression of interest ranking for skilled workers. Under the adaptability factor, can one get points for both the things that is close relative in Manitoba (200) and close friend or distant relative in Manitoba (50). or points can be availed for either of them?

You will only choose one. You can't get points for both.

Yes, you must have the confirmed support of a close friend or relative who has resided in Manitoba for at least one year if applying under Express Entry substream. If under human capital pathway, must have confirmed support of a close relative who has resided in Manitoba for at least one year.

Dear All,

I am an HR professional with 8 years experience and I have tried IELTS multiple times but could not meet the 8777 range as i always fell short by 0.5 in writing. My only option is to try Manitoba PNP but I do not have a friend / connection in Manitoba. We want to stay there at Manitoba permanently, please let me know the alternate options.

no friend and relative in manitoba
no com. sec. job in manitoba
even study for another master or postgrad course + live outside of Winnipeg could add 150 pts
with this 513 pts after 2 yrs ... seems still have no chance in EOI draw ...

so ... that means there's no way to apply MPNP at all, right?
