Connection to Manitoba for PNP

Hi Friends,

We(me and my wife) are planning on migrating to Manitoba; both of us are BTECH graduates and have 5 years of experience in IT industry (in India). Also, we were able to score CLB 8 in IELTS. Also, we have a friend in Manitoba who has been working there for the last one year with a work visa. But the problem is that he does not have a PR at this point. So I just wanted to check whether we can show him as a connection to Manitoba and thus apply for a Manitoba PNP?
