I have just completed my medical examination and up for the passport request stage.
As for the experience, you just have to do as advised in your invite letter, which is basically research job, housing, etc in the area you intend to reside and after the whole assessment you will be interviewed by an immigration officer.
After that if you are successful you be issued an invitation to apply letter which will will included along with you application for the provincial nomination. Mine took 6 month for the approval of the provincial nomination letter to be issued. When you have your MPNP nomination you then apply to CIC Nova Scotia for the final stage of medical and criminality check.
Can someone apply through this stream although they may have an uncle and aunt in Ontario? Although they do not want to live with them..and want to be totally independent..
Are they eligible for this stream?
Hi
Emperor, I noticed that the visa office u used is Accra. I used Accra also, Pls how long does it take CIC Sdyney to transfer someone application to Accra. I applied through MPNP, and got nominated in Dec, 2012, I applied to CIO sdyney and I received my AOR on Feb 14th, 2013, and it says ur file will be transfer to the Visa office u indicated in ur application, which is Accra. Secondly, what is the next step, do u have any idea.
Thanks
Starblessing
Hello Starblessing, looking at my timeline will give you an idea how long it takes. Application received by CIC on 28 Nov 2012 and after my card was charged and receipt of AOR from CIC, I received medical on the 13 Feb 2013.
I guess it is safe to say max of a month from AOR from Nova Scotia.
Hi guys,
I submitted my documents to manitoba immigration office on 22nd of Jan 2013 and I am waiting to see if they invite me for a visit or not.
I have hired a lawyer but I wanted to ask if anyone here knows how long I should wait to get a response from them???
Hmm....but the thing is there seems to be no other stream to apply through either...because evidently, HAVING relatives is not too helpful either if you don't fall under the NOc categories they shortlist..(even if you do, its just a few extra points which may not make a big difference for many people)
Also, hows the aviation industry in Manitoba? According to my research, I see that it is booming tremendously...is it possible to find a job without too much difficulty?

I also applied for the EV in January (just before it temporarily closed, pheww!) not heard anything back yet though. Has anyone who applied in January heard anything back yet about an EV?
EFK I'm also hoping to get into the Manitoba aerospace sector.
All the best to everyone hoping for that good response
