CHC London sends PPR by email. It is difficult to say for certain how long each case will take. Based on my observation, it depends largely on two factors: 1) If there is any need to further your medical, then it will obviously delay the issue of your PPR 2)Result of your background/security checks. If those 2 factors have been met, then PPR is issued 6-8 weeks after medical results are received at CHC London.
All the best

Hi 9j,
would you plz clarify what you mean by further the medical? Do you mean asking for additional tests or repeat medicals? My medicals were received at CHC London on 30th Jan and we are into the 9th week now and not even 'medicals received' line added to my ecase! I am wondering why the security checks would take so long, may be coz I was working in two other countries apart from my home country so you think that could be one reason? If you could let me have your thoughts please, many thanks

It is unfair with those who are waiting since long. In my view it is total unjustice.

Yes total unjustice , they cancelled all per 2008 '
, Then MI 1 are much slower then MI 2 and MI3. I mean they should be clear and if they can't cope then should stop taking new application until clear all backlog

Yes, you are right about your description of furthered medicals. Sometimes 'medical results received' line are not added. You get PPR without it and ecas will go straight to DM in such instances. That was the case for us. I don't know for sure all the factors that might delay the background check in all cases. I our case, there was very little delay between MR and PPR and I had lived in 3 different countries and I do not currently live in my country of birth. That said, there was however a long delay between when we went in process and when we got MR. It is possible that that delay was due to background check at that time. It is very difficult to say for sure in each case. One thing that is certain is that some of the visa officers follow different pattern of processing which may explain the variation in processing time.
Hope this helps. My best wishes.

I am very sure this will not affect applicants whose file has come to the final stage as in your case. For you to have received PPR, it meant that the processing is over and a decision had been reached on your case. I think you can be rest assured that you will get your visa. It is most likely that anyone who hasn't done the medicals would fall within the cancellation.

Yes, we paid RPRF about the same time we completed our medicals. It was requested along with the medicals.
See my post above to Canada 100 in relation to my opinion about the delay in PPR.
