ya I guess medicos would fit in anywhere , but just make sure about assessment of your credentials .
Coz in some places they are pretty strict and rigid about education and all that stuff, you know , you would have to study further before you get licensed and in some provinces it's a lot easier. maybe you would want to consider such factors to help you settle down initially in a fast and smooth manner.
For me , I Chose Ottawa, as my Education is accepted and I can start working , I just need to sit for my license , so no more studies !!!!

My professional background and studies are quite specialised being B2B marketing with specialisation in events. Consiidering Toronto's standing as a hrobbing commercial/business hub, with most of B2B marketing and events companies based there, that's my preferred point of entry. Although on application, it was Calgary.
My current enployer as well as the last employer, both MNC's, have offices in Toronto so am going to negotiate an internal transfer between offices/businesses.
We're considering direct flight instead of transit. Etihad is a good option, not confirmed yet though! They fly 777 to Toronto, whereas Emirates flies A380 - so comfort in longhaul flight is a ?mark... Will be making trips to some travel agents and Etihad/Emirates offices before deciding later this week.
You're right about online booking being cheap online. Etihad had been advertising recently promoting visiting their shops for better rates.
If anyone wants to compare prices and all airlines in one place, logon to www.ebookers.com. The website sorts options by price (in GBP) and gives flight and transit times etc. I found it quite useful.

Yes I know direct flights and eithad and emirates very expensive !
If you don't plan to go immediately , try booking your flights now itself for a later date, that way you would save a lot of money !!! ( in case you are not dicey about your travel plans )
I had booked my flights in June and I got very good price , took an indirect flight ,will travel by the end of this month.
