My wife is sponsoring me. I live in Saudia Arabia. She received an email that my application is been forwarded to the Visa office in London. What does that mean? Why London? What do they do there? Do I have to travel to the U.K?!
Thank you
Same here my file was transferred from Sydney to London after two weeks they asked me to do medical . I did it last week and results were posted that I have passed . What's next

No, it doesn't mean that you need to travel to London UK. It simply means that your application is submitted to the London UK office for further processing. Such as verification of documents, the information provided and determining the next steps.
CIC has a region-based office around the globe. So based on where you are from the file/case/application goes to the nearest office for processing.

One your medical is accepted by CIC, that means that you are almost there. The next step is they may ask for further documents if they wish. Else, they will ask you to submit the passport with the latest photographs (they will specify that).

there are some CIC region who does the processing of the cases and some does processing + issuance of visas. In my case our process was done via London UK office but visa were issed from Abu Dhabi office. Secondly, it all depends on workload the office has.
it all depends, I think CIC would have asked you to submit your travel history if so now they must be verifying that. All I know that within 1 year of medical the process is completed and you have to land in Canada. E.g: if your medical was done in 15-Sep-2019 then you have to land in Canada by 14-Sep-2020.

Oh no we applied way before that in June, the application was returned to us for some missing papers. We resent it in October, and processing started in December.
