Medical is valid for one year after first time your application is assessed by an agent- means at the time of application completeness check, which is the first stage in PR application process.
IRCC extend medical for further one year depending upon the country of residence. If it is extended, you normally get status change in your GC account, where your new medical pass date is updated.

Thanks @tar86 for the info. Mine got expired in July and till now nothing updated in the portal. It's been like 3 months..maybe will get to know in few more months....last gcms notes show appears RFV which was updated this year January...nothing after that..frustrating

Glad to hear that. Our medical was expiring in Feb 2021 and they extended till Feb 2022

Is there anyone who knows their medical is extended but the status show ‘you do not need a medical exam’?

Mine case is RFV since December 2020, Medical was extended and again going to expire this month. We can hope to receive re-medical request soon.

That’s amazing. Mine shows the same and was going crazy wondering when they were going to extend or ask re-med. The last gcms notes I ordered in August showed medical had expired in the month and my file was not touched since March. I’m only hoping something is silently going in the background with the complete lack of email/ ghost updates.

Fingers crossed, most apps from UAE, if under M1 or M3 after evaluation could expect to be extended.

My one is actually PNP..AOR from federal was in June..medical got expired in July this year..CBSA notes say all passed but med expired..appears RFV..in my CIC acc it shows doesn't need med..hope they have extended
