Got this status on the 29th of Dec 2020 and still waiting for PPR(

Oh wow so I should expect nothing for another 9-10 months. This is becoming a joke now. Visa offices around the world everywhere people are getting the much awaited mail as they have opened now just don't know what is wrong with LVO

Hi there, has anybody sent a webform request to LVO to find out the status of the application? Did you get any reply? I sent mine on 29.09- got nothing in answer

Well you are lucky you had this status so soon....my AOR is Feb 2020 and they just changed the status of background check to Processing a week ago...

Multiple webforms are raised to them. No response from them! Feels like a black hole!

From what I heard last from a solicitor was that they wont be replying to an Webform queries as they are busy with refugee programme for Afghanistan

Just had a realization of LVO processing Pakistan, Afghanistan and a few Middle East applications.
I dont remember where I read this but i did read it somewhere on CIC's website!

is this a positive sign? Does medical extension mean anything or this is automatic system thing?

I think its an automatic thing as mine was expiring in Feb 2021 and they extended to Feb 2022 but still no change in file processing time

Extending Medicals is not automatic, it is a manual process that must be done by an agent. Most people who had their medicals extended in Feb and March 2021 are getting their PPRs nowadays. Give it some time and be hopeful.

Glad to hear that. Our medical was expiring in Feb 2021 and they extended till Feb 2022

Medical is valid for one year after first time your application is assessed by an agent- means at the time of application completeness check, which is the first stage in PR application process.
IRCC extend medical for further one year depending upon the country of residence. If it is extended, you normally get status change in your GC account, where your new medical pass date is updated.
